There are nine trim levels. The base WT trim features 17-inch steel wheels with all-season tires and black bumpers and grille. The Custom trim adds 20-inch bright silver-painted aluminum wheels, body-color bumpers, and a black mesh grille with chrome accents. The LT introduces LED daytime running lights, a chrome center grille bar, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The RST has 18-inch wheels, body-color trim, and LED fog lamps. The Custom Trail Boss and LT Trail Boss both feature a 2-inch factory lift and 18-inch high gloss black painted aluminum wheels, with the Custom Trail Boss adding performance red recovery hooks. The LT Trail Boss includes a high-approach steel front bumper and an off-road package. The LTZ has 20-inch bright silver painted aluminum wheels and chrome exterior trim. The High-Country features 20-inch wheels, bronze accents, and an exclusive grille design featuring a two-tone bronze and chrome finish. The ZR2 stands out with 18-inch wheels with 33-inch off-road MT tires, a specialized steel front bumper with integrated skid plate, and a black mesh grille with bronze accents.

The base 2.7-liter Turbo high-output engine delivers 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque and is standard on WT, Custom, and LT trims. The 5.3-liter V-8 generates 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque and is available on the RST, LTZ, and High-Country models. For maximum power, the 6.2-liter V-8 produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque and is standard on the ZR2 and optional for the High-Country trim. The optional 3.0-liter Duramax Diesel is available on most trims and provides 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.

The Silverado 1500 delivers 13,300 pounds of maximum towing capacity with proper equipment and a maximum payload capacity of 2,260 pounds when properly configured. Some trims include an electronic locking rear differential for enhanced traction, as well as an advanced trailering system with 15 camera views for improved visibility and control while towing. There are also multiple driving modes such as normal, sport, off-road, and terrain for optimized off-road performance.

Base trims feature a 7-inch color touch screen, vinyl or cloth seats, and manual air conditioning. Higher trims add a 13.4-inch touch screen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and dual-zone automatic climate control. Other premium options include leather seating, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a Bose premium sound system, and Google built-in capabilities. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility come standard across all trims.

Every Silverado 1500 includes Chevy Safety Assist with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, and forward collision alert. Additional safety features include blind-spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, trailer side blind-spot alert, and adaptive cruise control.
