1. 2025 Chevy Suburban
The Suburban is the largest SUV in Chevy’s lineup. It comes with a 5.3L V8 engine that generates 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. A 420-hp 6.2L V8 is available in higher trims that unlocks the SUV’s maximum towing capacity of 8,300 pounds. A 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel I-6 with 495 lb-ft of torque provides excellent fuel economy, with ratings of 27 mpg highway and 21 mog city.
This behemoth can seat up to nine passengers with a setup of three bench seats, making it ideal for extra large families or regular sports team chauffeurs. Cargo space is also generous, with up to 42 cubic feet behind the third row and a grand total of 145 cubic feet. An available power-sliding center console is available, which can move backwards to create additional space between the front seats or provide easier access for second-row passengers.
2. 2025 Chevy Tahoe
The Tahoe shares much of the same capability as the Suburban, including the same engine options, but in a more maneuverable package. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, but all-wheel drive is available on all trims to provide better off-road handling. The Tahoe offers seating for up to eight passengers, with a roomy third row that comfortably fits adults. Cargo capacity is less than the Suburban, though still substantial, with 25.5 cu.ft. in the rear.
A massive 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen is front and center on the dashboard, offering built-in Google, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The kids can stay entertained with optional dual 12.6-inch screens mounted to the back of the front seats. Higher trims can also be equipped with a Bose premium audio system.
3. 2025 Chevy Traverse
While the other two SUVs are truck-based, the Traverse is a mid-size crossover that is easy to drive around the city. It’s powered by a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder, rated for 315 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. It pairs with an updated 8-speed automatic transmission and, like the two others, has standard front-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive.
Like the Tahoe, the Traverse seats up to eight passengers across three rows. Almost 100 cubic feet of maximum cargo space is available with both rows folded down, making this SUV a true cargo carrier. Several luxury and convenience features amplify the Traverse’s usability, including available tri-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, and a wireless charging mat.
